HOTEL AREA AND CABIN FIELD
Hotel area: An area at Finnheia, located at an elevation of 190 m, has been zoned for a hotel with associated restaurant conference facilities. The hotel should have a minimum of 150 rooms, and feature a spa and indoor water park. A Sami attraction, snow hotel and facilities for year-round activities will be established in this area. The hotel will be designed so that it fits naturally into the beautiful landscape. The top of the hotel will feature a rotating glass bar where guests can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view.
Cabin field: Within the zoning plan, in the course of 2017 a 40-hectare site will be rezoned for commercial use and recreational property for cabins. The main road between the lower station and the hotel area will be built through the cabin field in such a way that all units will have favourable ski-in and ski-out opportunities for both downhill and cross-country skiing. Emphasis will be placed on the bed capacity at both the cabins and apartments being made available for rent. In the upper part of the field, in connection with the hotel area at Finnheia, an alpine village with commercial beds will be established. The building style for the area with emphasize architecture that fits in with the terrain in terms of both form and choice of materials.
PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
There are many opportunities available to companies and individuals wishing to invest in Håkøybotn. A 40-hectare cabin field will be zoned for commercial purposes and recreation cabins. An alpine village with apartments will be developed here, which will be closely linked to the hotel area. Depending on the distribution of cabins and apartments, there will be 300-400 units offering an estimated 2000-3000 beds.
